A lot of customers ring us after years of patching the same tired system. We will tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense or whether you are throwing good money after bad. And sometimes a full replacement costs less over five years than repeated call-outs to re-seal joints that keep opening up, re-fix brackets pulling away from soft fascia boards, and patch cracks in old uPVC that has gone brittle in the weather. Piecemeal repair has its place, but not when the whole run is past it.
The leaf guard mesh insert retrofit is something we fit regularly, particularly on properties with trees overhead. Keeps the system flowing and cuts down on blockage call-outs considerably.
Fascia and soffit work ties in with most gutter jobs anyway, so we do that as part of the same visit where we can. Dry verge systems on gable ends get done properly or not at all. A loose verge causes damp problems that cost far more to sort later. (We have seen it more times than we care to count.)
