We do a lot of flat roofing, which is grand until it isn't. Once a flat roof starts to pond water or the membrane lifts, you're on borrowed time. We've replaced plenty that were patched too many times when a proper job would've saved money years ago.
We work with natural slate, concrete and clay tiles, fibreglass for flat roofs, and lead for flashings and chimney work. We don't cut corners on the underlay or the battening. That's where a lot of cheap jobs fall down, it's never what you can see from the street.
There's no point in us being cute about it. A roof done right is a roof that doesn't need touching for fifteen or twenty years.
